The Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center was founded in 1997 to provide afterschool programs in a safe environment for the youth of Fort Walton Beach public housing and the surrounding areas. The Youth Center's goal is to provide an enriching educational and recreational experience.
Providing a safe and supportive environment extends beyond a place to belong, EJJYC nourishes friendships and community fostering positive civic involvement that will last a lifetime.
EJJYC provides consistent encouragement, guidance, and support, that is often missing in the lives of our youth.
